Take Me In Your Arms.

An Original Dark Poetry piece about the fear of loneliness, never having felt loved and finding it so hard to show love towards others.
Then trying to conquer it all through denial and carnal gratification.

Inspired by the songs Beyond Love and Kingdom Of Rain
from the awesome, moody album Mind Bomb by The The.

Take me in your tender arms

And nurse my bleeding soul

Let us be as one this night

Before my flesh grows old

As tall shadows of the twilight

And a heart that’s black as coal

Seem to fuse in perfect union

While I’m acting out a role

Coldly playing perfect lover

Though it seems I care, I hide

And drink deeply of your waters

To quench the flames inside

Of a fire which consumes me

That burns my failing flesh

Come the end of our embrace, my fears

My nightmares start afresh

So I drown those fears in you

Now I’m drowning in the flood

Of all my false emotions

The spent semen and the blood

While I can’t say I love you

I so hate to be alone

Too much time just thinking

About all the hurt I’ve known

So take me in your tender arms

And nurse my bleeding soul

Let us be as one this night

Before my flesh grows old
