So, What’s Your Poison?

An Original Dark Poetry piece about the horror of date rape!

“So, what’s your poison?” I enquire

My face wears an enchanting smile

A smile that masks my true intention

One thing I’ve no wish to mention

We talk a while, you feel at ease

My tale I tell, heart’s on my sleeve

Feel no threat from a man this honest

So humble, sweet and too modest

“Just one glass” I hear you say

The very words that make my day

For it now holds a favourite drug

My very own formula of love

You drink your fill and feel less fine

“What was in that glass of wine?”

Asked with a slur, I don’t mention

Just smile to mask my true intention

As I undress you and caress you

Take your all and I possess you

You’re only mine but a short time

I please myself, you can’t deny

Absolute power corrupts absolute

I’m done with you and resolute

You’ve no recall, no memory to find

Darkest shadows haunt your mind

In one more victory now I revel

The trophy feeling so dishevelled

And moving on to my next venture

One thing I’ve no wish to mention

Original Dark Poetry.
