Little Black Book.

An Original Dark Poetry about the pain of rejection and loving someone from afar, knowing they’ll never return that love!

I’m bottom of the last page

In your little black book

Am I even worth the ink?

‘Cos you never cast a look

My way, I know you’ll never call

And then I get to thinking

Why would you anyway

When we’re such different leagues?

I’m left feeling so fatigued

And I can’t chase you anymore

Would you ever think of us at all

Is it even worth this pain

For me to sit and wait in vain

Just in case you come around

When I know you never will?

And you’d let me wait forever

I know I should just let you go

You’re so very much better

Than I could ever hope to be

There’ll never be you and me!
